In January 2022 I spent some time in Isoitok Camp Manyara. Despite the fact that I have been to Tanzania several times, they managed to surprise me in a very pleasant way. The projects they have organized with the local Maasai population are impressive and very effective. The local English speaking Maasai guide took me on a medicine walk. I have never been so close to the Masaai and have learned a lot about their way of life, norms and values; that was a really fantastic experience.
With the same guide I also did an early bird watching walk and I spotted beautiful birds.
Isoitok Camp Manyara itself is very creatively designed and beautifully made with an eye for detail.
The atmosphere in the camp was very relaxed. The staff were very friendly and welcoming; I really felt at home.
Finally, I would like to say that I really enjoyed the meals; they were really fantastic.
