Accommodation

We wanted to do something different and put tent design, engineering and carpentry to the test with a magical result. The tents are thoughtfully located with plenty of bush and natural fencing to give you the seclusion and privacy you need.

With only 8 tents you are assured of privacy, very personal services and that special African bush experience that you had always dreamed it to be.

We offer two types of permanent tents; Isoitok Rustic and Isoitok Deluxe, with the latter one being slightly larger. Get acquainted with both setups below…

Village Development

Isoitok Camp Manyara has a unique partnership both with the Maasai communities surrounding the camp through its “African Roots Foundation” (ARF). The foundation is our platform through which we endeavour to run small-scale, sustainable projects aimed to the improvement of the daily life of the communities surrounding the camp.

A one-time $10 village development fee will be charged per person which is donated to the ARF for future community development projects. ARF have partnered up with several foundations that provide safe water drinking filters (A Gift of Water) and some low cost solar lighting (A Gift of Light).

These simple tools in life that we all take for granted have been distributed successfully amongst the varying boma’s of Esilalei with life changing effects. Our newest development will be the fabrication of dome slab long drop toilets to bring much needed sanitation to the Maasai area of Esilalei.

All proceeds and profit are returned to the foundation ensuring that our efforts are sustainable and responsible as tourism partners to our Maasai neighbours. For any questions that arise during your stay – please ask your camp host who will be happy to share more information in ways you may wish to help, also the whole story on The African Roots foundation can be viewed on www.africanrootsfoundation.org
